We spent 4 days in Cairo, after out Nile Cruise and we really liked it. We just wanted a base as we spent the majority of our time outside the hotel anyways. Rooms were clean and tidy, a little small but we were only sleeping here. Staff did seem a little abrupt, but after reading some reviews on other sites, NO WONDER. We ate at the hotel twice, and whilst it is a little pricier than restaurants outside the hotel, but the food was of a good standard. The hotel arranged a taxi to take us to the Pyramids and the Cairo Museum and these were also very well priced, and we felt safer than we would just picking a taxi off the street. If you are looking for a nice, clean base for your trip to Cairo then look no further.

Just came back from a 5 nigth stay at the Cataract Pyramids and I must say, we were very impressed by the standards of this 5 star resort. Housekeeping was superb. Always clean and tidied. Our room cleaner left us a succession of 'towel animals'. You can see the pyramids from the roof garden and the traffic noise of Cairo sounds a long way away! Pool area is clean and very nice, food at the restaurants is good, and not bad price wise. Overall we really enjoyed it and was a fantastic, reasonably priced break for exactly what we wanted.
Having read the reviews on this hotel I was dreading it but thought I would make my own mind up!! Right here it goes YES the mosquitos were a big problem in the rooms and all the grounds but what do you expect in a country that is over 30 degrees! I just made sure I bought as much repellent as possible but found that attracted them more! The hotel was lovely and the pool is the best feature for relaxing in the sun after sight seeing in the morning. The views from the hotel are amazing from the roof you can see the pyramids and yes there was a little noise from Cairo town but not much. All in all you get what you pay for but think next time would pay a little more for a better hotel
