Oasis is a decent hotel, It does exactly what it says on the tin! We stayed there for 2 nights at start of trip and 1 at end so we got to see the difference in rooms, the later being better than the former. The breakfast was standard fare with plenty of hot food, cereals, breads and fresh fruit. We never had dinner but we were in a group of 40 and heard that it was good (they also have an Italian which some tried and said was fine). As advised we stayed clear of lettuce & tap water (ice-cubes too) and no-one had a sick tummy in this hotel which is amazing for Egypt! The hotel has a lovely pool, not huge but very open and plenty of beds, right beside a little pool bar. The entertainment inside the hotel lobby is way on the cheesy side and we never sat there! The hotel is very close to the Pyramids (10 min drive), which is why we were all in Cairo in the 1st place, around 1 hr drive from airport. We went into Cairo for a night out and the hotel organised taxis for us and also organised the price which was good as we knew we weren’t getting ripped off! it took 1 hour to get into the city as the traffic is atrocious but quicker getting back. I'd recommend this hotel if your 1st priority is Pyramids and 2nd is Cairo as the hotel runs an excellent shuttle service into the city all day so you can get in to see the Museum etc and get out again. Overall a good experience.
The Oasis is my favourite hotel in Cairo been there 6 times. Its garden rooms give one a great sense of calm and space amidst the hustle and bustle of Cairo.
It has two or three decent restaurants on site very nice, and has a very nice swimming pool. The Oasis is ideally located if you are thinking of visiting the Pyramids.
Overall 5 out of 5 deff going back in a few months time!!!!!
