Calimera Golden Beach Resort Hurghada is situated in a unique and virgin spot, 10 km far from the city and 15 km far from the airport. It is the first 4 star hotel of Calimera chain in Egypt, built to represent the river Nile shape and Egypt map. The concept of Calimera is how to use the best all inclusive Food and Beverage availability and the animation team facilities to respond to guests needs, keeping them happy and amused.
The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30) and dinner (18:30-21:30), all buffet style, served in the Karnak restaurant. During meals soft drinks, wine, coffee and tea are offered. Late breakfast (10:00-11:00) can be taken at the beach bar. Also at the disposal of the AI guests for dinner is the Tam Tam restaurant (Oriental cuisine, 18:30-22:00) or the El Nile (Italian cuisine, 18:30-22:00), both upon reservation at reception, one day in advance. Children’s meal takes place at Calimerini restaurant from 17:30-18:00. Coffee break with cakes is between 15:00 & 17:00 at the beach bar. Late light snacks are available from 23:00-24:00 at the beach bar. All kinds of local alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are available at the pool bar Aswan (10:00-18:00), beach bar/restaurant (10:00-24:00), lobby bar Abelique (10:00-24:00) and at disco King Tut (23:00-24:00).
The shopping arcade and the Golden Mall offer several products and souvenirs, jewellery shop, papyrus, book shop, casual wear, oriental perfumes, etc. The hotel also offers car rental, organises excursions, doctor upon request, shuttle bus can be reserved from the car rental desk in the lobby, foreign currency exchange, safe deposit box are available at the reception desk at extra charge, voltage is 220V, laundry (extra charge), and wake-up service.
The hotel offers a private sandy and spacious beach with lounges and towels for free (there is a deposit upon arrival for the beach towles). There are 2 large fresh water swimming pools connected with a 230m long river like pool; there is also a separate children pool. In addition to kids pool recreation centre, volley and football, boccie, water polo, darts, camel riding, gymnastic and aerobic area. The children animators are always around to keep children happy using different plays available and the Kids Club tools: T.V. Video movies, drawings, writing, singing and dancing. The latest Hot Spot in discotheque, it opens daily from 10.30pm except Thursdays.
I and my partner Frank stayed at the Camilera Hurghada and found the hotel splendid! The pool area was very large and we loved it because we could be ourselves laying on the sunbeds and no one gave a care in the world, The rooms were also very nice which included very large beds which me and frank appreciated very much so. The rooms are quite soundproof as we didn’t hear a peep and I think we were quite loud but heard no complaints ;-). All in all me and frank will be back to the hotel, so ta ta for now everyone.
