Beach Albatros Sharm Resort Review

If you’re staying here you must upgrade your room to pool/sea view as the other rooms are very dated and not nice at all. The upgraded rooms are only ok but a lot better. The hotel itself is very good value for money food and drink wise. Nice choice of food, free sunbeds and towels on the beach, staff are very good (if you tip them).
Be prepared to hear the mosque next door at about 4.30 am. Overall a pretty good hotel considering the price but more like 3* than 4*. Not bad for a budget but there are much better hotels in Sharm.

Beach Albatross Sharm Resort Review

Ours was a very cheap, all-inclusive holiday booked on-line - and the reviews I read before travelling left me a little worried.
Whilst the hotel on the whole was dated, it was permanently being cleaned; the staff are very welcoming - and there was lots to do...
Best bits... half term sunshine; snorkelling with the kids the fish are amazing - and seeing so many varieties of fish and beautiful coral; valentines day - the staff really went to town - tables were decorated with fresh flower petals; all food displays included fruits/chocolates cut into heart or flower shapes; all ladies were given a red rose - the staff seemed genuinely happy to make it a special occasion - a really unexpected treat
Enjoyed...friendliness of all the staff; views from the hotel; a trip to the market; quad-bike into the desert.
Pleasantly surprised...we paid very little for all inclusive. There was always something enjoyable to eat, and the drinks were not cheap local crap really aswel.
Only negatives...the bed was uncomfortable...however I mentioned this to reception, and they put us a new mattress in the same morning! The swimming pools were cold - but with the warm sea to swim in - why waste time in a pool - you can do this anywhere!!
Hints/tips buy your snorkels out there - better quality than I found in good sports store at home

Beach Albatros Resort Review
First impressions of this hotel are oh my god im going to get lost in the grounds! a lot of the hotels in hurghada are albatross chains driving down the road they are opposite each other so a well known chain in Egypt.  The hotel is so big, you could get a little confused thinking you have been there before, but it was nice to take a stroll in the evenings to work of the food eaten before hand.  Food is lovely and so much to choose from and on a number of nights they held a barbeque which was nice and different from the buffet.  Pools and beach were nice but sometimes found that the PR or tour guides were pests and wouldn’t leave you to relax without trying to sell you something and did get annoying, but this country rely on tourism so cant blame them but sometimes have to be harsh for them to get the message.  The rooms are spacious mostly with pool views or can pay extra for sea views but you are not in your room for the whole holiday.  The hotel is fantastic and in a good location and its what you make of it that makes you have a nice time so keep an open mind and enjoy.
