Our first time in Egypt. It was fantastic, the hotel. We were a bit apprehensive though, but our friends had recommended it to us. The rooms and all hotel buildings were very clean and spacious. The food was very varied and fresh, although we did find ourselves eager for a meal in Naama Bay by the end of the week. Without doubt the hotels best feature was the staff, which were extremely friendly and courteous. Recommend the snorkelling off the house reef (2 moray eels spotted), and the shisha pipes in the Lebaneese Restaurant. The rooms where large and spacious and we were lucky enough to get a room with a sea view, which was fantastic! We’ve actually booked again for this winter with our friends!! A great resort with lots going on of an evening as well!!

Impressive 4* Hotel. Too many Russian clients, variety should be a spice in life. Food basic and not varies. Typically Egyptian décor. Large clean and tidy property. Staff very helpful. Do not believe all the reviews, well worth a visit.
I stayed there 3 times in 2006 and it was nice, didn’t check before going this time and it’s become bad, bad bad! It became a low class all inclusive, big staff cut down and those who were replaced are not trained, chaos in the restaurant, there’s no more tablecloths, no free or set table, couldn’t go near the buffet, they give big discount about 40 pc to groups and the individual traveller is just lost in the crowd, the French manager isn’t there anymore, it all changed and definitely not for the better, the rooms aren’t that clean now and the cleaners only come once every 2 days. I checked out quickly and really think twice about going there even if the beach is lovely.

We have returned from our fourth visit to this hotel just three days ago. As a regular guest at this hotel, you can say it is fair for me to have certain expectations from the resort. The last time we’ve been to this hotel it was called the Intercontinental Sharm, and this time the Inter was dropped and it is now known simply as the Continental Sharm. The differences were apparent in management and overall quality. I suppose you can only tell the real difference if you have travelled to the hotel prior. I still couldn’t complain. The food and drinks were good and the hotel is anything but shabby. However, my wife and I may opt for a different hotel the next time we visit Egypt.
