Visited Egypt for the first time in June and it was a very good first experience! The hotel has 5 places to eat, the breakfast buffet wasn't that great, The seaview restraunt serves yummy fish dishes and snacks on the beach perfect for a meal whilst watching the sun setting with the other half, an Italian restraunt, a FAB spannish tapas bar(guys, there's screens showing football on!) and good entertainment from karoke singers and dancers and finally a barbeque restraint. All reasonably priced, but if you want to go cheap, you should eat out in sharm where prices where nowhere near what you would pay for the same thing in England. Hotel room was niceand clean spacious and nice wardrobes for all your clothing! Ideally get a hotel room with a sea view the views are awesome. Crown plaza has its own coral snorkelling, definatly buy your snorkelling gear from UK as it's expensive from their hotel shops. Also, a warning, don't buy their sun tan lotions, the one we bought from there was dodgy and we were fried! Overall, I was impressed with the service and would highly recommend this to any one who is going to Sharm for the first time!
I’m typing this to save everyone from the holiday from Hell! I’m not toff but this place is awful and I'm afraid that positive reviews on this site, have been placed by clearly people who are stupid enough to believe what is classed a 5 star and what is not! What about this then?? European 2* rooms, school dinner style food (I’m not kidding!!) always accompanied with paint stripper like "locally produced drinks". The final nail in the coffin is the constant loud droning music surrounding the pool area - making chilling out impossible. Do yourself a favour - if your travel agent tells you this place is up to the standards of the internationals (Hilton, Intercontinental etc) tell him or her to pull the other one, because, his place is a very poor 3*. Not a good hotel at all!
