We have recently returned from a fortnight at Mirabel Park, there were 4 adults and 3 children, the facilities for the children are really good, they had slides in the pool for the children 3 pools in total and plenty of shops at the hotel mall to purchase your bits and bobs for the pools. The family rooms are clean, spacious and modern with a separate bedroom for the kids which would have been nice, not that our child slept in there!! The food was good, catered for the kids really well but we were careful not to eat the food which was washed in the local water. We stocked up on the free bottle water for the evenings and for brushing our teeth, some of us were ill, not sure if it was the food or the heat (stock up on Imodium) the weather was fantastic which was in the high 30’s to 40 no need for warmer clothes for the evenings, their just as hot!!!!! The sea wonderful and crystal clear, great for snorkelling; the local currency used is Egyptian pound. Overall a great holiday but watch the time of year you travel out, the staff said the best time to visit is from November to April as the weather is cooler, in the 30s but if you’re a sun worshipper your be ok anytime of the year and lastly, don’t forget the mosquito spray, I forgot one night and was bitten 30 times! more fool me. …….!!! Enjoy

The hotel grounds are 5 star without a doubt, beautiful gardens, pools and beach. But that’s about your lot!! Checking-in was like trying to walk-on-water, after a 5hr flight, the last thing you need in the early hours of the morning is to be kept waiting for 45mins for your room key. This hotel is massive with hundreds of rooms and yet there was no helpt in helping you find your room whatsoever, just finger pointing by the unhelpful reception staff. The service at Mirabel Beach is appalling, not all but most of the staff are rude and prefer to ignore you completely. What they are good at is taking your money, This was by no means fully inclusive and there are extras be careful. The food was very basic with little taste and repetitive and breakfast was a task in itself, with most mornings there being a long que of 20-30 guests trying to enter the restaurant like cattle, then to find there was a shortage of cutlery, or bowls but mainly helpful staff. For me everything about this hotel is for show, then when you scratch below the surface it soon becomes obvious what the place is really like, overrated and poor performance.
