My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at this hotel; we both were extremely sad to go and could easily have stayed longer. The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. The waiters in the restaurant are attentive, friendly, funny and have big smiles on their faces all of the time. The lads in the Speed Bar do their very best in difficult circumstances...I don’t think they’d ever had to cope with it being so busy before. The pool and beach attendants are unbelievable, you really are treated like royalty; if they see you doing something as simple as lowering the back rest on your lounger they will run over and do it for you. The rooms are gorgeous: HUGE beds with different towel creations each day and the air conditioning is really powerful. The location is breathtaking with the Red Sea on one side, where you look out over the mountains of Jordan, Saudi and Israel, and the Sinai Mountains on the other side. At sunset the sun disappears down behind the Sinai Mountains and the mountains across the Red Sea cause a stunning red shadow all over the water. The hotels own private beach is the ideal place to set off snorkelling and is teaming with life even on the shore, so younger snorkellers or beginners won’t miss out. In the afternoon it is possible to walk out ankle deep over the rocks and have fish, hermit crabs, starfish etc surrounding you.
When we got to our room it was lovely very clean, huge bed, good facillties, the cleaner do an excellent job!
I agree with the other reviews that there was some rubbish on the beach which the staff perhaps could of cleaned up, although the beach was nice, and the snorkelling was amazing.
I would recomend going on the red sea cruise where the boat is lovely and the snorkelling is great and it is very good value for money as lunch and drinks were also inlcuded, we had a fantastic time on that excursion (we felt like millionaires on a gourgous two month old boat).
The shops are very over priced so I would recomend you by all the things you need before you go (we ended up paying five pounds for some shampoo, and then pounds for suncream!)
I would also recomended bringing your holiday brochure with you, as we found some details inaccurate! All in all we had a very relaxing holiday and for a new resort in the desert we thought it was great, with exception to some of the entertainment!
