Very impressed with friendly and helpful staff and cleanliness of room’s and public areas which are all spotless. The meals are buffet style which was fine. Breakfast was superb with more choices than we could manage in one week. Dinner was fine as long as the female chef was on duty and you arrived just after the restuarant opened - any later and choices were not replenished or food sufficiently heated! Other travellers have complained that the hotel was some distance from the centre and yes it is. However so are many of the hotels in this resort and it only takes 20 minutes. It is also within easy reach of bus stops for the excellent bus services throughout the island. The two outdoor pools (including one that was heated) were fine. Overall we did not experience any problems and would recommend to others. Please note that our visit was just before Christmas when the hotel had only about 25 rooms occupied. Not sure what it would be like in peak times we enjoyed it when not so busy so when the hotel is full im sure it would be much better.

Have just returned from 2 splendid weeks at Hotel Arena, Though I was a bit dubious having read some of the reviews. We arrived quite late and had missed the evening meal, the hotel had arranged for a covered plate and bottles of fizzy water. The rooms were fantastic, with very comfortable beds. Our room opened right onto the pool and gardens. Making it easy to access the pool bar as well. Some days we were the only couple around the pool, no need to reserve sun beds here! Hotel is geared to couples, nothing for children so I think most people hired cars and drove about the island, but we just went for a relaxing week, and it definitely was! Only negative was the evening entertainment, which was sometimes a bit cringing!!! Staff were very friendly and the hotel very was extremely clean and well kept. Food was good. Especially being a vegetarian I was surprised at having a vat array to choose from. Would definitely go back again.
