I was a bit worried after I booked this holiday as I couldn’t find any reviews on this hotel, but thought I would see for myself and what a mistake this was! Do not let anyone send you here, the area is dirty and not clean at all, the hotel states it is a 4 star but not even near a 2 star! Fair enough we didn’t pay a lot but did expect something for our money and I was deeply disappointed, the food was not hot and got very repetitive. The rooms how ever were very spacious and surprisingly clean but that was it! Mind you please make up your own minds for this hotel, it didn’t tick our boxes but may do yours as previous reviews are good! Would not return and probably fork out a little more cash to go somewhere nicer!
My rating for this hotel: Service: 3/5 Rooms: 3/5 Location: 3/5 Value: 4/5 Cleanliness: 2/5
Don't know why people are complaining? 1 week in early May 2009. Spacious bungalows in a lovely setting. Very well maintained grounds. Pools looked nice and clean. BEWARE - the path from bungalows is very slippery when wet. Reasonable choice of food. 2 sittings for dinner - we were able to simply change ours to the later setting though I guess that may be more difficult if the hotel is full? The local wine was nothing special, beer was okay as were the spirits, cocktails rather weak. Cant rate the entertainment as only went to see what was on one night. Locations not great but we found some short cuts to the sea front - just go across the pathways opposite rather than follow the long road round. Playa Blanca resort itself is lovely from end to end. Make sure you go to Timanfaya. Go all inclusive as the drinks are pricey in bars (eg 9 Euros for a local beer and brandy and coke!)
