I have just come back from a weeks stay with my boyfriend at the Iberostar Papagayo. It was exactly what we were looking for in terms of a holiday, chilled out and a relaxing break. We opted for all inclusive and the food was lovely, a good selection of salads, meats, and desserts. The staff were so helpful and very efficient. The hotel is located about 10-15mins along from the Marina and a further 10-15 minutes onto the harbour, which came in handy a lovely walk into town to burn off the dinners! Entertainment was better than expected but not amazing. But they did try bless them! Mini Disco is great for the little ones. Overall good value for money and a nice break in the sun with the fantastic memories of the papagayo

Just spent 11 nights all inclusive at hotel. Excellent friendly staff, good food, good entertainment & very clean hotel. Try the organised events during the day, great way to meet people. Good location with paved walkways flanked by lovely floral displays to town of Playa Blanca & beach (approx 1/2hr) & papagayo beach in opposite direction. Prices tended to be on high side due to exchange rate but not a major problem. Weather in 20's with one rainy day but very pleasant. We did note that local people in the resort were friendly & helpful which makes a nice change from previous experiences in mainland spain were they were very pushy so makes a nice change we really enjoyed it.
