Madrid Attractions

is modern city filled with top quality bars, restaurants and clubs, not to mention the most successful financial district on the Iberian Peninsula. However, the city has also maintained its original character and charm, and the old-town parts of Madrid include such famous landmarks as the Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre, the impressive National Library building and the attractive Buen Retiro Park. All of which are very much worth visiting.

As a cultural hotspot, Madrid is also renowned for its Architectural Museum, plus its three famous art galleries – The Prado, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, which you’ll find in the superb Palace of Villahermosa. There’s plenty here of historical value to peak everyone’s interest.

Things to do in Madrid

Aside from some excellent shopping districts, horse-drawn carriage city tours, or a round of golf on one of the courses that surround the city, Madrid also offers superb international and Spanish cuisine served in top class eateries, plus a host of great cafes and bars.

If you have a young family, they’ll surely love the Zoo Aquarium de la Casa de Campo, home to over 3000 animals from around the world. While dads especially will relish the chance of getting some tickets to see Real Madrid play at the Bernabéu Stadium.
