Alcudia Holidays

Alcudia is a popular resort on the Spanish island of Majorca, and enjoys a high level of sunshine throughout the year. It has a reputation for being one of the more relaxing places to go on a family holiday to the island, unlike other resorts such as Magaluf and Palma Nova which are better suited to young singles and groups of friends who want to have great parties.

What to do in Alcudia

The resort itself provides a great number of hotels and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Quality tends to be high and the atmosphere of Alcudia is much more relaxed and family friendly than various other places on the island. It is also well known for being home to one of the most scenic beaches in the Balearic Islands, which is located in a particularly sheltered bay, providing a safe place to swim and spend the day.

A visit to the beautiful old Roman town of Alcudia should not be missed. It is a delightful town with a lot of character and history, and has an extremely pleasant cafe culture. There are also a lot of other activities you can take part in without even leaving the resort. Scuba diving and windsurfing are popular, or you can take short day cruises on glass-bottomed boats.

How to get to Alcudia

Alcudia is about an hour away from the international airport, and the resort itself is popular for those seeking great value all-inclusive package deals. Majorca also has the advantage of being only about an hour and a half's flight from London. Prices are typically very favourable due to the fact that budget airlines fly to Majorca regularly, enabling you to get return flights and accommodation deals at very competitive rates.
