Years ago Tenerife had only one airport For great hotel and apartment dealssituated in its capital, Santa Cruz. These days it sports two large airports. North Rodeos (naturally situated in the north) and the second, Reina Sofia, in the south. Well known for Mount Teide, Tenerife is a volcanic island and one of the largest and arguably the most popular of the Canary Islands , with Gran Canaria, Fuertevenutra and Lanzarote as its close sisters. In a few short hours you could be relaxing in the warm sunshine on the volcanic beaches of Puerto de la Cruz, or the golden beaches of Los Christanos or Playa de las Americas, all enveloped by the gentle lapping Mediteranean Sea.
There is so much to do and see on an all inclusive holiday holiday here. Try a trip to the local markets and bazaars and sample the local food and delicacies. The Los Christianos Sunday market is possibly the largest in the whole of Tenerife. All types of clothing and leather goods are abundant, both designer and locally produced.
Playa de las Americas is probably the place for you if you want an all inclusive holiday packed with a thriving nightlife. Many bars and restaurants line the beachfront and if you can keep up with the pace, nightclubs where you can drink, dance and party till the early hours. If you require a slightly quieter vacation then Los Christianos would probably be a better choice. Still so much to offer, many bars and restaurants, but rather more relaxed and family and child friendly. Both venues have excellent beaches, water sports and all facilities for a perfect holiday.
If you chose an all inclusive holiday to Tenerife in February don’t forget its Carnival time. This is a spectacle not to be missed. It lasts a full month and is considered to be the second largest in the world.
A superb choice for all.
