Los Cristianos Holidays Holidays

Tenerife is famous for its fantastic nightlife, and if you are a lover of this but don't want to be right on top of the action, Los Cristianos holidays will perfect for you. This is a slightly quieter side of the island, but is still within easy reach of more hectic resorts nearby. This old fishing village has managed to retain some of its former Canarian charm, and is a more relaxing venue in which to base yourself when holidaying in Tenerife.

Los Cristianos Attractions

The nearest noisy neighbour to Los Cristianos is Playa de las Americas, a resort designed around beach watersports by day and buzzing nightlife after dark. It is only a five minute ride in a taxi, so your Los Cristianos holidays can offer you the best of both worlds - quiet relaxation, beautiful beaches and a quick trip to one of the hottest spots on the island. In fact, these two towns have grown so much that they almost overlap, and you could actually say they have almost merged over the years.

Los Cristianos Activities

Holidaying in Los Cristianos is not complete without a boat trip from the harbour. The harbour here is home to fishing boats (big game fishing is very popular), pleasure craft, international yachts, ferries and hydrofoils. You are able to take a booze cruise, go big game fishing, go whale and dolphin spotting or take one of the hourly ferries across to the pretty island of La Gomera.

Many of the beaches lining the seafront of Los Cristianos are man-made, and the best is the Playa de las Vistas, with its crystal clear, clean waters and sandy beaches imported from the Sahara dessert. You will find many bistros, bars and restaurants lining the promenade, and the old town centre is completely traffic free. You will also find a wide selection of cuisine available including traditional Canarian fare, but some of the most popular eateries are the traditional English Pubs, which cater to the needs of the many UK visitors enjoying their Los Cristianos holidays.
