Bangkok Holidays

Bangkok holidays provide a once in a lifetime experience to visit the island of Thailand. As it is one of the busiest and liveliest resorts, there are so many things to see and do in this brilliant city. Bangkok is a mixture of tradition, religion and the new vibrant, modern exterior. As the capital of Thailand the vibrant city of Bangkok has over 400 temples which lie in the shadow of tall skyscrapers, vibrant nightlife, buzzing Chinatown and many museums and galleries. A visit to Thailand would not be complete without a visit to this futuristic, yet traditional city of Bangkok.

Holiday to Bangkok

While on Holiday to Bangkok there is an abundance of things to see and do and never a moment to stop on your travels. While in Bangkok the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple must be visited to grab some fantastic photographs and a religious feel of your stay in Bangkok. While here, a visit to the Wat Pho is necessary. It is the largest temple in Bangkok with a 46 meter long gold reclining Buddha combined with the inspiring National Museum. The city of Bangkok is so rich in culture and religion; you can’t help but come away a little inspired by the sheer beauty of the surroundings. But if religion and culture are not for you, then the clean, cheap and efficient Skytrain may be the escape you require. A short jump onto this over-ground rail system provides an escape from history to the modern shopping malls.

Shopping is a big a part of Bangkok as is the temples and religion. While you can take in the brilliant traditional market places of Patpong and Chinatown, the more modern Shopping malls of Silom and Sukhumvit will spoil you for choice with the wide range of upmarket shops and big stores. In particular, the popular Jim Thompson Thai House and Suan Pakkard Palace Museum are nearby and are definitely worth a visit.

The capital of Bangkok is mainly a city break and so a break to a different region of the country may be necessary. Koh Samui is famous worldwide for its beautiful surroundings and fantastic sunsets and beaches. It is described a beautiful beach heaven and it is not difficult to see why. Only a short travel by airplane (or a nine hour coach ride), a visit to Koh Samui will provide a well rounded end to your visit to Thailand.
